PRE-APPROVAL
Getting pre-approved is an essential 1st step in the home buying process. Your loan officer will provide a letter for us to include with an offer. This lets the seller know you have taken the necessary steps to ensure you are credit worthy to purchase a home. In a market with low inventory and lots of buyers, you must be pre-approved to be competitive.

Make a list, better yet, make two of them. The first should include must-have items, things you need (i.e. must live within 30 miles of work, a one-story home if accessibility is a factor, etc.). The second list include your wishes, things you would like to have (i.e. pool, walk-in closets, etc.). This will assist your agent in knowing exactly what you are looking for. It will also keep you from wasting time looking at homes that do not fit your criteria.
